New Events and New Guarantees
Leading the charge is a brand new €1,000,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty event. In addition, players will be treated to an expanded High Roller series, including four €5,000 buy-in events and a €10,000 buy-in tournament.
Notably, the Irish Open Main Event returns with a significantly increased guarantee of €2,500,000, promising to attract even more entries after this year’s record-breaking turnout. The 2024 Main Event saw an astounding 3,233 entries, making it the largest €1,000 buy-in tournament ever held in Ireland. Prize pools across the entire festival soared to new heights, with more than €7.5 million awarded and almost every event setting participation records. The Mini Irish Open also sees a boost, with its guarantee raised to €1,000,000.
Beyond the increased prize pools, the Irish Open will host the inaugural Irish Open Deaf Championship. Mixed games will also be a focal point in 2025, with new tournaments such as Pot Limit 2-7 Triple Draw, Big O, and Open Face Chinese joining the schedule. Fans of traditional mixed formats will be pleased to see two-day H.O.R.S.E and Mixed 8-Game events alongside new €1,000 buy-in two-day tournaments and a wider variety of Pot Limit Omaha offerings
Satellites & Online Qualifiers
The Irish Open’s Main Event continues to draw a remarkable field, with over 700 players winning their seats through online satellites for 2024. This has made the Main Event one of the most accessible major tournaments.
The journey begins soon for those looking to secure their spot in next year’s Main Event. Paddy Power will kick off the satellite season on November 1, 2024, giving players the chance to qualify early, with additional satellites on PokerStars launching shortly after.
