Million Dollaslots bestr Game Becomes $500K Buy

Day 2 of the Million Dollar Game will instead have a $500,000 minimum buy-in, Hustler Casino Liveco-owner Ryan Feldman confirmed.

The decision to decrease the buy-in in half is due to player demands. Feldman explained two players backed out of Wednesday's game, which airs on YouTube starting at 4 p.m. PT.

Why the Buy-in Decreased

Monday's Millions Dollar Game opener featured some intense action involving a number of high-profile players battling for six and seven-figure pots. Alan Keating bluffed off a $1.95 million pot to his rival, Peter Wang, but battled back to not only erase a $1 million decifit, but go home up over $400,000.

Michael "Texas Mike" Moncek was the biggest winner in the game with a $1.55 million profit, while Steve, Pav, and Jack all lost over $930,000. Erick Lindgren, who won a $25,000 satelitte to enter the cash game, won just over $280,000.

But the big losses left Feldman with a short list of players available to play Wednesday and Thursday. Lindgren was always going to be a one-and-done, but Steve opted to back out of playing in either of the final two days. It is not a simple task to put together a full table that can come up with $1 million just for one bullet last-minute.

Haralabos Voulgaris, a longtime high-stakes poker player and Spanish soccer club owner, will make a surprise appearance. Feldman also added Jasper, a popular player on Hustler Casino Live, to compete on Wednesday. But Feldman's options remain limited for a $1 million buy-in game.

"It's really tough," Feldman explained. "The same thing kind of happens every year where we have a number of players who are either committed or interested, as you get closer, you start getting people that can't make it for different reasons."

Hustler Casino Livelaunched the first Million Dollar Game in 2023. Players such as Tom Dwan and Doug Polk showed up to compete. Both returned for MDG II in 2024, but neither are competing this year.

The lineup will still be strong with popular players such as Keating, Texas Mike, Voulgaris, and Nikhil "Nik Airball"Arcot in action for Day 2. Peter is expected to join the game on Thursday, as is DoorDash founder Stanley Tang. But some fans voiced their displeasure on social media with the buy-in drop.

Feldman said changes could be made to the Million Dollar Game going forward. Future MDG's, he said, could involve just one day of livestreaming, perhaps twice per year.
