Players should also consider which cards to meld & when to do so strategically. Missed opportunities can result from holding onto some cards for an extended period of time, particularly if they aren't helping to create new melds. On the other hand, melding too soon can give opponents a sneak peek at one's strategy and enable them to modify their gameplay.
