Chino Rheem capped off a scorching March with his fifth PokerGO Tour (PGT) title, winning Event #4: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Already crowned the PGT Mixed Games champion earlier this month, Rheem claimed the $295,000 first-place prize after an attritional heads-up battle with Ben Tollerene, where the chip lead shifted multiple times.

Tollerene finished runner-up for $182,900 and 183 PGT points, falling just short after entering the final day as chip leader. Other notable players at the final table included former bracelet winners Allan Le, who took 3rd for $129,800, and Richard Gryko, who secured 6th with a $59,000 payout.

With this victory, three-time World Poker Tour (WPT) champion Rheem surged to the top of the PGT PLO Series 2025 Leaderboard, putting himself in prime position to secure his second PGT series title of the season, with six events still to play as of Monday.

Rheem Chasing Back-to-Back Titles

Rheem’s two cashes through four events have propelled him to the top of the PGT PLO Series 2025 Leaderboard with 307 points. With six events still to play, he holds the frontrunner position in the race for the series title, which wraps up with Event #11: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha Bounty on Saturday, April 5.

It marks his second major win of the month, building on his PGT Mixed Games Series triumph in early March - the highlight of that title run being his victory in the $10,200 8-Game event, where he secured $195,500 after a heads-up deal with 2021 WSOP Player of the Year Josh Arieh.

Beyond his PLO Series lead, Rheem’s latest result has also lifted him to 5th place on the overall 2025 PGT Leaderboard, keeping him firmly in contention for the season-long race.

While Rheem leads the PGT PLO Series 2025 Leaderboard, James Chen (US) and Daniel Negreanu are keeping the pressure on as the series enters its final stretch.

Negreanu, who, like Rheem, has secured two PGT titles this month, sits in third place after claiming a record-breaking 11th PokerGO Tour title last Friday with a comeback win in Event #3: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha.

Chen, meanwhile, has been a model of consistency, final tabling the first three events to climb to second on the series leaderboard.

Beyond the top three, a deep field of contenders is still in the mix. Event winners Billy Tarango in 4th and Ky Nguyen in 6th remain in striking distance after their victories in Event #2: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha Progressive Bounty and Event #1: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha, respectively.

With six events left, including Event #5: $10,100 Pot-Limit Omaha concluding Monday evening, the chase for the title is far from over.

Negreanu and Chen remain strong challengers, but with a stacked field in pursuit, Rheem must fend off plenty of competition to secure back-to-back PGT series titles.
