The Main Event: Florida World Championship
At the heart of the festival is the $365 Florida World Championship, an exclusive invitational for players who’ve earned their spot through Bar Poker’s local leagues. The stakes couldn't be high as the series showstopper comes with a projected prize pool of $150,000 and guarantees at least $30,000 for the eventual champion.
Players start with 25,000 chips and battle through 30-minute levels, with one re-entry allowed per flight. The top 10% from each Day 1 flight advance to Day 2 with their best stack in play. Double qualifiers earn a $1,000 bonus for their lower stack.
Day 2 kicks off on Monday, December 9, at 11 a.m., where the remaining players will vie for the championship title, live-streamed from rotating featured tables.
2024 Seat Winners only pay the $65 staffing fee. Super League "Invite Winners" may buy into this event for $365 total.
Day 1A participants can buy into Day 1B "second chance" only if they have already played in Day 1A. There is no way to win a seat for this event through BPO, and you cannot play Day 1B exclusively.
The Monster Event: Open to Everyone
For those looking to join without an invitation, the $100,000 Guaranteed Monster Event is a must-play. Running December 5-7, this $300 buy-in tournament offers five starting flights (Day 1A-1E), giving players multiple chances to cash big and show their skills.
More Than Just Main Events
The festival doesn’t stop there. With a lineup of side events and cash games, there’s something for every kind of poker player:
- Friday Night Deep Stack ($10,000 GTD)
- Progressive/Mystery Bounty
- BigStack Turbo ($5,000 GTD)
- Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) Event ($15,000 GTD)

- Therefore, keeping a competitive edge requires making well-informed decisions about which cards to release. Discarding cards that are unlikely to aid in the formation of sets or sequences while simultaneously reducing the disadvantage to your opponents is the ideal strategy. Both your current hand and your opponents' obvious moves must be taken into account when deciding which cards to discard. It could be prudent to refrain from discarding cards from a specific suit or rank if you observe that your opponent has been using those cards to complete their combinations. Focus on discarding cards that don't advance your strategy or aren't likely to be helpful in subsequent turns instead. 25-01-10
- In order to meld their cards into these combinations and eventually lower the total value of their unmatched cards, players must comprehend the game's rules and objectives. The number of decks used varies based on the particular variant being played, and the game can be played with two or more players. Rummy's strategic depth is its fundamental component. In addition to concentrating on their own hands, players need to be alert to what their opponents are doing. This dual emphasis produces a dynamic setting where choices have a big influence on the game's outcome. 25-01-10
- Building a mindset that values patience and strategic thinking is crucial for long-term success because rummy can be a demanding game with many unexpected turns. Prior to beginning a gaming session, think about using strategies like deep breathing or mindfulness exercises to improve focus. These exercises can help you focus and declutter your mind, which will improve your ability to read your opponent's movements and control your hand. Resilience and adaptability can also be developed as you progress through each round by keeping a positive outlook, even in trying circumstances. By putting mental acuity & emotional stability first, you'll be more prepared to handle the challenges of Rummy and win. 25-01-10

- This increased awareness enhances your gameplay and gives you a tactical edge that can help you stand out from other players who are less perceptive. Since it directly affects your ability to create sets & sequences while minimizing unmatched card values, good hand management is essential for success in rummy. During gameplay, a well-managed hand improves your chances of winning & enables you to quickly adjust to shifting conditions. Players can accomplish this by routinely evaluating their hands, prioritizing the combinations they are aiming for, and maintaining the flexibility to change course when needed. 25-01-10
- Three or four cards of the same rank but different suits make up a set, whereas three or more cards of the same suit in a row make up a sequence. To decrease the value of the unmatched cards in your hand and eventually win the game, you must know how to make these combinations. As you play, keep an eye on what your opponents might be gathering & think about the cards you need to finish your sets and sequences. It's critical to focus on your hand's flexibility in order to increase your chances of creating legitimate combinations. 25-01-10
