The rules unique to the Rummy variation that each player is playing, along with any extra regulations pertaining to wild cards or special melds, should be thoroughly understood by all players.
- In rummy, points are scored based on the value of the cards remaining in the players' hands at the end of each round. Face cards are worth 10 points, aces are worth 1 point, and numbered cards are worth their face value.
